I founded brand MARINE CONSULTANTS (bMC) in 2014. It is now an internationally active consultancy with numerous offices around the world and a focus on maritime claims, salvage and technical surveys.

Founded in 2014 in Hamburg, bMC has established itself as a global maritime consultancy. With an experienced team of captains, engineers and architects, bMC offers comprehensive services for shipping companies, insurers, P&I clubs and shipyards.

Locations

A global presence enables us to support customers worldwide quickly and efficiently. bMC is therefore represented internationally with offices in: Hamburg (headquarters), Bremerhaven, Koblenz, Singapore, Mumbai, Dalian (China), London.

Services

bMC offers a wide range of maritime consulting services, including:

  • Salvage & wreck removal: Planning and execution of salvage projects worldwide.
  • Accident management: Coordination and support in the event of maritime incidents to minimize damage.
  • Investigations & expert opinions: Carrying out damage analyses and preparing expert reports for insurance claims.
  • Expert witness service: provision of expert opinions for court and arbitration proceedings.
  • Engineering services: Technical advice and support for shipbuilding projects and modifications.
  • Special accident representative (SCR): Deployment as an independent representative in complex recovery cases.

Expertise

Since its foundation, bMC has successfully completed over 600 projects, including:

  • FSO Safer: Monitoring the salvage of the wrecked tanker off the coast of Yemen on behalf of the UN.
  • John I: Deployment as SCR during the salvage of a cargo ship off Newfoundland.
  • Galapagos Islands: Investigation and management of the salvage of a sunken passenger ship in the national park.

These projects offer a small sample of bMC’s expertise and commitment to the maritime industry.
